Through this Erasmus Plus funded programme, we sent 39 participants to Seville in Spain, between 2019 – 2021, to undertake work placements in local organisations.
This project provided work experience opportunities for young people in order to increase their understanding of the working world and raise aspirations, supporting skills development and introducing them to practical and positive experiences of the workplace.
At a time when international opportunities for young people were limited, we are proud have successfully delivered a project that widened young people’s progression route, and pushed them out of their comfort zone, in a supported environment, developing their self-confidence, resilience and self belief.
Participants cited examples where they were able to use their Erasmus experience within their CV or during a work interview, which, as a result led to them successfully gaining employment.
100% of participants felt their chance of getting a new or better job had increased.
100% also felt more confident and convinced of their abilities and that they had improved their technical/professional competences.
